"Memory Upgrade" at CoCA, Seattle
My work will be in a show at the Center on Contemporary Art in Seattle, WA. The show is called "Memory Upgrade" and explores the ways in which artists have responded to the global financial crisis by changing various aspects of their work. Considered collectively, these artists hint at the heightened importance of memory, history, and the role of the artist to affect social change.
The show opens Thursday, December 2nd, from 6-9pm at CoCA’s Pioneer Square location located inside the former Elliott bay Book Company at 310 1st Ave South in Pioneer Square.
I'll be in Miami so won't be able to make it, but if you're in the area, check it out.

My work at Red Dot Miami
I'll have work at the Hang Art Gallery Booth at Red Dot Miami. Come check it out. I'll also be attending the art fair madness. Personally, I think art fairs should be called gallery conventions. Fairs I'll be surveying are Art Basel, Pulse, Scope, Art Asia, Red Dot, Aqua, Verge, Nada, and Art Miami. With five days in Miami, it's going to be a wild ride of art, booze, and schmooze. I'll post videos and pictures as they come.
<<<< Just a glimpse of the art celebrity extravaganza at 2009 Art Basel Miami. For those of you who don't know, that's CHUCK CLOSE that I'm making a sandwich out of.

SF Weekly's Mastermind Grant
I was selected as a finalist for the SF weekly Masterminds Grant. The competition was stiff. There were over 100 submissions, 12 finalists and 3 awards. And while I didn't win, I was honored to be included with such a strong group of artists. (oh yeah, and the nice lead image, full color image was nice too).
